Account Structure

getpaid supports a rich account structure that enables businesses of all sizes and types to process payments.

getpaid account structure is a term used to collectively describe how getpaid maps and organises accounts and each entity in the platform. It refers to the hierarchies, the relationships, the interactions between the different players in our platform.

Organisations

An organisation is a collection or grouping of Entities. It represents the brand or platform name which may have one or more legal entities associated with it.

An organisation is not an actual legal business but rather how Getpaid represents a holding or group of relationships between entities which have a logical grouping.

E.g. AirBnB, Uber, Etsy

Entities

An entity is the common term used for a business or individual which exists within an organisation. There are different types of entities which have different relationships with other entities which define behaviour.

This is the actual licensed business(es) of the Organisation which has contracted with the PayFac as well as the 3rd Party Entities it serves.

e.g. AirBnB Gmbh, AirBnB France, AirBnB US, etc.

This is the actual licensed business (or individual) which has a contract with the Organisation Entity as a customer of that entity.

Entity Types
