Payments
Simulate payments to test your integration
Verify that your integration in sandbox is functioning properly by conducting mock transactions that don't involve actual funds.
Test cards let you simulate 2 scenarios:
- An accepted payment depending on card brand (currently only possible with Visa, Mastercard and Maestro).
- Authentication with 3D Secure and OTP.
Test ibans let you simulate the following scenario:
- An accepted payment with AIS and SDD Mandate creation.
Testing cards
When simulating payments, enter the card number on the hosted payments page.
- Use any Card Holder name
- Use any date in the future in the format MM/YY as an Expiry Date
- Use any three digit CVV different from
000
3DS Authentication
3D Secure requires an additional layer of authentication for credit card transactions. If you are following the 3DS Authentication route, you will be required to enter a One-Time Pin.
Customer Authentication regulations require 3D Secure authentication for online payments within the European Economic Area. The test cards in this section simulate a payments with and without 3D Secure authentication.
If the card requires 3DS authentication you're redirected to the 3DS simulator page, you will need to input the following password:
- For a successful authentication: 1111
- For an unsuccessful authentication: 0000

Card validation failure
During the payment process there might be some errors during the tokenization phase. We provide these cards to test the buyer experience for these cases.
Number | Reason |
---|---|
4000002760000032 | Unknown error |
4000002760000040 | Transaction Declined |
In addition to those cards numbers, using the 000
CVV for any card will trigger a wrong_card_details
error. Please be aware that these errors can happen due to several reason, for example:
- Buyer has reached the limits of payment for the day or month.
- Issuer bank denies the transaction.

Testing SDD
When simulating payments, enter the IBAN value and an email address on the hosted payment page:
- Use any valid German IBAN number. Please note that the IBAN doesn't need to be for an existing bank account but it
needs to be in the correct format. Here are a few samples that you can use to test the payment flow:
- DE49500105172938544473
- DE49500105179488467727
- DE59500105174894626796
- Use any valid email address
During a SDD payment in our sandbox environment, the buyer will be redirected to our simulator to perform the bank account validation.
Refund requested by the buyer
When a SDD payment is performed, the buyer can ask for a refund directly from his/her bank.
This scenario can be simulated in our sandbox environment using the following IBAN number:
- DE90500105175336123872
SDD mandate cancelled by the buyer
When a SDD payment is performed, the buyer can request to cancel the mandate from his/her bank.
The scenario can be simulated in our sandbox environment using the following IBAN number:
- DE43500105174311671537
