Currently, it is only available for invoicing.

Account links on the platform provide a flexible mechanism for granting third-party integrators access to specific parts of the system. In the current context of invoices, this allows the platform owner to give an integrator permission to manage certain buyers or sellers without exposing the entire platform. The integrator can interact with designated accounts (e.g., generating or managing invoices) as defined by the platform owner.

This system is designed with scalability in mind, meaning it can be extended to other areas such as payments. For example, the platform owner could grant an integrator permissions to process payments or manage financial transactions for selected buyers or sellers, ensuring that access remains controlled and secure.

In summary, the account link feature facilitates:

  1. Granular permission management: Control which buyers, sellers, or other entities a third-party can access.
  2. Enhanced security: Limit access to only what’s necessary for the integrator, reducing the risk of exposing sensitive information.
  3. Scalability: While currently applied to invoice management, this system can be extended to other functions such as payments, providing a unified and secure way to manage third-party integrations across different parts of the platform.
